Melbourne Chartered Accountant David McKellar has received the honour of Fellowship from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
Mr McKellar, who is Director of Allied Business Accountants, is one of only 220 Chartered Accountants from nine countries to receive Fellowship in 2019. An honour in its own right, David was also the youngest finance professional to be awarded the status this year.
Awarded after a peer-nomination process, the honour recognises David’s professional body of career achievements, his contribution to the profession of accounting and his commitment to serving his clients and creating a better community. 
These contributions include providing financial services to business owners and individuals in a range of complex areas such as tax minimisation, budgeting, SMSF and planning. 
Through Allied Business Accountants, David also provides accounting and strategic advisory to charitable and community organisations as a way of giving back. 
To share accounting and financial knowledge beyond his immediate clients, David is also a regular contributor in the media. He writes articles for a range of publications on topics which can affect everyday business owners and individuals. 
From a membership base of 84,000, only 114 Australian accountants were advanced to fellowship in 2019. According to the President of CA ANZ, Stephen Walker FCA, “This year’s list reflects a growing number of members demonstrating outstanding achievement and contribution not only to the profession but to their wider communities as well.”
